Socket pipes and fittings of ductile cast iron are available for fresh water supply (DIN EN 545) and waste water disposal (DIN EN 598).

Depending on the application area, these are available with different exterior and interior coatings, socket connections and wall thickness classes.

The permissible operating pressures (PFA) for ductile socket pipes to DIN EN 545 are up to 85 bar, depending on the nominal width.

Flange connections are used preferably for above-ground pipes, for example in pumping stations, waterworks, pipe basements or upright tanks, but also in underground piping in the area of pipe junctions and intersections.
